A personal dashboard for job hunting: it searches Gmail, uses Claude to classify recruiter emails into applications, interviews, offers and rejections, and keeps momentum up with streaks and goals.
The problem
Job hunting generates dozens of threads across portals and recruiters. Tracking them in a spreadsheet is tedious, so the spreadsheet goes stale within a week.
The approach
- One “Check Gmail” button searches the inbox and has Claude classify each email directly in the page.
- Replies attach to the application they belong to; duplicates are removed by message ID.
- A daily scheduled sync keeps a local mirror and the hosted dashboard in step.
- Gamified to keep momentum: streaks with freezes, a daily goal, XP and levels, 15 badges, a 12-week calendar and an original mascot, Pip — all computed from the data, not stored.
The outcome
- Used daily as the source of truth for an active job search.
